I replaced the driver side headliht bulb and the bulb housing came out of the headlamp assembly so the light faces toward the ground how can i get it back in its slot?

The reflector is seated by means of a ball at one end and this seems to be the problem. You would need to try to get the ball back into position and pull at the reflector housing from the bulb access to get it reseated.
