air conditioner works on and off for my 2004 Lexus 330LS. Can you give me some insight? Thanks

sometimes panel for outside temp reads a -30C number and spits out hotair.

Sounds like the outside air temp sensor has a intermintant open in the circuit.When that happens the computer thinks its too cold to allow the ac to work.Your going to have to wiggle wires etc while having someone watch the display temp.
