2004 Land Rover Discovery 2 Engine Starts Only Runs Seconds Stops Disconnect

My 2004 discovery engine starts but only runs for 2 seconds then stops i then have to disconnect the earth on the battery then replace it back on it then starts and runs ok until i turn it off it then starts and only runs for 2 seconds again.

scan for codes and check your ground on other end of battery cable.
