when i let the gas go the car turns off

I just changed the starter and now its turning off when I let the gas go also the car when drug ing it sounds hollow and has no pull when driving

Do you have a check engine light and last tune-up??

Check the idle air controller and throttle postion sensor-also check the fuel pressure
