oil pressure

My check engine light has been going on and off for the past 2 weeks and now my oil pressure gauge is going to low when i come to a complete stop.

I wouldn't drive it till you find out what is going on. What is the oil pressure spec at idle? My info says 13 psi @idle, 6 cylinder. Use an analog gage where pratical, in place of the sending unit, see if gage reading is the same as dash. Maybe oil pump issue, can't be sure?

I'd have to check the actual oil pressure spec. Low doesn't tell me anything.
