2004 Jeep Cherokee ABS Brake Warning Lights On Speedometer Won T Register Loss

I have the abs and brake warning lights on, the speedometer won't register and loss of power (2500rpm) on my wife's 2004 diesel cherokee automatic with the Mercedes 2.7 engine.
Brake problem or speed sensor ?

sensor on top of the differential in the rear is the most common failure for this.
