whisteling noise coming from engine 2004 jaguar x-type 3.0 s

In between 20-30 mph i hear a whistling noise. I assume that it's coming from the engine, but it's really irritated. The sound just started late today. Any suggestion would be helpful in regard possible issues and the repair cost of each.
