My abs lights are on. I am getting code B1165 - Could you please tell me what the possible causes are and what remedies I could try. I have already changed the abs sensor? OBD Codes coming up and I cannot find the meaning or how to correct them. Could you please help?

Hello,

The problems can the the bearing which will cause the sensor to not work correctly. Here is a guide to help you check and replace the wheel bearings. Also recheck the sensor to make sure it is plugged in.

I have an intermittent DSC SYSTEM FAULT message occur which is accompanied by the appearance of the check engine light, the ABS light, and disables the cruise control. No other performance issues at this point.

The vehicle is driven regularly. The battery is 18 months old and has been checked. It has appropriate amperage output.

What do you recommend to solve this problem?

Start by having the vehicle plugged into a diagnostic computer to retrieve the fault codes from the cars computer

I have been having braking issues, where when I applied the brakes it would sound like it is off and not fully ingaged. There seems to be an interference and the peddle does not go down all the way without some sound of grinding traction. I have to pump them and then I get a sound that seems to be coming from the front axel somewhere. I just got the ABS light on my dash. What could this be and what is the repair? Costs involved?

Thanks,
RM

Hello and thanks for donating

A common failure would be one of the wheel ABS sensors which the ABS system uses. Since the ABS warning light has appeared, there is a trouble code(s) set within the ABS system that will need to be retrieved by a diagnostic scan tool. This code(s) will pinpoint the issue so that it can be fixed appropriately.

You will need to find a shop capable of scanning the ABS system to see what trouble codes are stored. The light is the computers way of telling you it sees a problem and has shut down the ABS system. There are far too many parts to just guess, so a scan is definitly needed
