I don't know the idling speed. How can I give you that answer? The rpm hand is almost on zero while idiling. If I turn off my fan to the heat it raises up some and idles smoother. And yes it has happened every time lately during hard breaking. I cannot tell you about the past as I have only had it 2 months. Thank you

The rpm needle almost at zero indicates the idling speed is too low.

Have the throttle body cleaned and retest.

Is the Check Engine Lamp indicating?

No the check engine light has not came on should I have transmission serviced? All the couch mechanics I talk to said it shoul be done at 60,000 miles and it may be part of the problem. Thank you

The transmission has nothing to do with the stalling but if the fluids had not been replaced for a while, it is good to have them replaced.

Dirty throttle bodies would restrict air flow and that would cause idling problems resulting in stalling.

Sorry about your dad.

Don't worry, at 2carpros we will try our best to answer any questions you may have.

At our main page there are a lot of DIY information which are good for general knowledge and also explains the basic principles of things. They should be helpful.
