engine kills after initial start

2004 Infiniti G35x, car kills after starting, but if you give it gas it will stay running. P0455 code, SES light is on. Also, gas tank will not fill all the way. Replaced fuel pressure regulator but did not fix problem.

Code is for fault in EVAP Canister Purge Volume Control Valve Could cause both stall and fuel filling problem. Needs to be diagnosed with scan tool see diagram for location item F5

Are you saying I need more than the standard OBD scan tool to diagnose the problem? You also referred to a diagram, but I am not sure what diagram you are referring to.

No ODB code reader need a diagnostic scan tool like Modus or Gynesis.

I found the part for only about $40.00. Is it pretty easy to replace? If you think it is the likely culprit, maybe it is worth just replacing it.
