My thermostat is fluctuating drastically, I just had it replaced a few weeks ago. Now the heat is blowing cold air, I also noticed my car is stalling when I sit at a long light. I have had 3 diff. Mechanics take a look at it but I got 3 different answers. I want to be confident in knowing the problem before paying to get it repaired.
Thanx

We cannot see or touch it. What were the 3 opinions?
Is the check engine light on?
Why was the thermostat replaced originally?
Did it overheat at any time?

First thing is get a leak down test done to verify that the head gaskets are not bad.
Beyond that, sounds like air in the system but should have bled off by noe.

If you have tool to do the test, yes. It would be cheaper to have someone do it for you.

Not really no issues with impellers on these pumps.
Start with the test first before assuming anything
