no power to car, not running right.....

2004 Hyundai XG350 having trouble running, not running right and won't pull up a hill at all (30 mph tops with pedal to floor)....catalytic converter just replaced 2 weeks ago. Also makes a loud "whine" sometimes when driving up hill

Have the exhaust system and the EGR valve if it has one checked/tested-
