2004 Hyundai Tiburon was having problems starting recently. No lights would turn on inside the car and would hear a clicking sound when the ignition was turned. So the battery was replaced. Since replacing the battery, the car cranks over but won't start. I am able to hear a noise for the fuel pump.

If I have lights in the car does this rule out a problem with how the battery is connected?

Mistake with installing the battery terminals would cause bad sparkings and blown fuses. Did you check the fuses? Having some lights working does not mean all fuses are good.
Ensure the security system is not triggerred.
