My 2004 Hyundai Sonata GLS V6 (automatic) 73,000 miles has started to have shifting problems when going from first to second gear. It is jerky when it hits 20mph to shift from first to second. All the other gear shifts are smooth. What could the problem be? I just got a new battery.

If the problem started with the new battery install, it could be the computer hasnt fully relearned your driving pattern. Hyundai has a 10 year 100,000 mile powertrain warranty did you check with the service dept yet?
