I do not hear this noise usually when I start driving. But a short while after, when I break, just before the car stops I can hear a cracking noise.
Then when I accelerate again I can hear that noise again.
The noise comes from the left front side of the car.
Somebody suggested that it could the Strut making the noise.
Do you have any suggestions what that could be ?

Most likely it is a bad bushing. I would recommend checking the control arm bushings, sway bar bushings and all others under the front. Usually, a strut won't make that sound unless it is really bad.

I took the car to a mechanic and described my issue.
What they came up with, is a Hyundai design issue.
Apparently the ball joint is rubbing on a piece of plastic cover guard which is making that noise.
Did you ever hear about an problem like that ?

I have to be honest. I haven't, but that doesn't mean it isn't possible. Did he provide a solution?

He said it either will resolve by itself over time, or I could accelerate the process by cutting off a piece of the plastic cover by myself. I might try that just to see if that really is the problem.
