The very next day after I got the cv axles replaced on my 2004 hyundai santa fe, the steering mid shaft separated from the column. Could this have come from something that was done on this repair?

it sholdn't have beentouched but if there was a bolt missing then it may have caused it. Normal axxle shaftremoval doesn'trequire anything with steering other than seperating lower control arm from the strut.
