I have a 2004 Hyundai Elantra that is over heating. I replaced the thermostat and it seamed to be working fine. I made a 40 mile trip and it was fine. A few hours later on the way home after 10 minutes on the road it overheated again. I let it cool, refilled the radiator and drove the rest of the way home. I kept the speed below 50 mph. I have 2 cooling fans, one runs and one doesn't when the ac is on. I used a wire to trouble shoot it and it did not come on. Could this be the problem or could it be the water pump since it only overheats at higher speeds? I also heard it could be the radiator cap. I am unemploed and looking for the cheapest fix, I need your help!

best thing to do here is check the radiator when hot for cold spots. if it's got cold spots the radiator isn't any good. it should be the same temp all over you can use your hand to test and make sure fans are disconnected. one fan shold run and theother when a/c is on or when it gets to hot both should run. check relays and fuses inunderhood fuse box.
