my coupe security is in some sort of lockdown, how do i reset it

an autolocksmith attempted several times to make me a spare key, but in doing so immobilsed the car, breakdown people are unable to talk with the car as it has locked down, have tried disconnecting battery, but no use, they connected equipment to talk to car but lockdown prevents, they say leave it 24 hours and it should reset and start with my key

You need to keep the battery connected and wait for 1 hour before the timer resets.

Disconnecting the battery would not work.
