noise when I apply the brakes

hi, On Monday my car starting making a noise when I apply the brakes, and in 2 days it has gotten worse. It sounds like the brakes are going. It sounds like a grinding steel noise. Please help.

have a pro check this out as you may need a brake job badly. getthis looked at as soon as you can. it cold also be wheel bearing but i'm betting on brakes.
