My 2004 Honda CRV has been making a loud clicking noise when the car is in Reverse or Drive (while stopped). It doesn't make the noise while in park. It appears to be coming from inside the power steering pump.

I even took it to a local parts shop and ask someone to take a listen. He believed it was coming from the PS pump.

thoughts?

I would first be running the engine with the pump drive off, is the noise still there?
