I put a small racing battery in my car. it says the vehicles charging system should not exceed 2 amps. Does this refer to the 80 amp fuseable battery link? What is my cars charging system amperage? This battery doesnt stay charged long. I was thinking of replacing fuseable link or hooking battery to trickle charger while parked.

The battery you are usuing says you cannot exceed 2amps of charging is not going to work in your car.Your cars alternator puts out way more then that.So the battery is getting boiled from being way over charged.
