Is my clutch going?

I have a manual transmission 04 civic, while at a stop light I tried three times to get it into 1st gear, the engine would only rev at first but then it grabbed on the third try. I think it has slipped out of reverse a couple times as well. Is this the clutch? It is a recently purchased used car, but I don't think it's because I am just not used to it. It feels like it is sluggish when accelerating as well.

While the car is in first gear while driving and you floor the gas does the rpms go way up without much of a speed increase like its slipping?
