Hello,
My car usually vibrates almost always, although the engine insulators are not worn that much. I can drive for hours on in-city roads and the car would vibrate all the way (with and without ac). However, when I drive on the freeway for about 10min at 90km/h, the vibrations almost stop and the car feels really smooth for the rest of the ride even after I get back to slow roads.

I would like to know what this speed is temporarily "fixing" such that I'd fix it myself for good.

Thank you.

If the engine has 260K on it, the vibration could be from several different things. It could have uneven compression, need a tune up... Have you checked things like that?

Here's what i got checked in my car:
Battery load
Drivebelt
Exhaust system
Suspension
Steering system and fluid
Engine mounting

Should I do a cylinder pressure test to check for uneveness? If so, do you suggest any other checks while am at it?

Since the vibration is most likely coming from the engine, I would check to see if it needs a tune up. While the plugs are out, I would then check compression.
