Intermittently the car will not start unless you push forward on the gear shifter?

Intermittently the car will not start unless you push forward on the gear shifter. Is there a switch or sensor that would be causing this issue.

HMAC300 is correct here is the location of the neutral safety switch so you can swap it out. Check out the images (below). Let us know if you need anything else.
