DO you think the engine needs to be rebuilt or is there something else i can try

Me and my buddy swarmed his truck in a mud hole... she shut off as soon as she hit the water... we pulled the airbox off and it was full of muddy water.. we pulled teh spark plugs out and water pored out of a few of the holes... so we know she drank some water.. we drained the oil and tried to turn it over by hand to blow the water out the spark plug holes... we put a 15/16 socket on the nutt on the main pulley underneath and tried to turn it clockwise but she wont budge and inch.. i guess my question is do u think we beat a rod or seized some bearings.. of should the truck be in neutral. or whats is ur best opinion?

Remove all of the spark plugs, then use the starter like normal to crank the engine. It will sound funny because there won't be any compression, but that will expel any water. The best way to do this is by bypassing the starter relay with the ignition switch turned off. That will prevent the fuel injectors from spraying fuel and there won't be any spark. Once it's spinning fast, you can put everything back together and try starting it.
