When changing gears the car excelerates instead of changing gears without excelerating. Also when starting the car it begins to excelerate without pressing the pedal.

It sounds like the engine idle is too high from possibly a vacuum leak or a throttle body sticking in an open position. Remove the air filter housing at the throttle body and inspect the plate inside.

Check all vacuum lines for cracks or breaks
