2004 ols alero, Took to shop, driver window, plastic tabs connecting glass to mechanical mechism broken, glass not broken, shop says must buy new glass, cost $535.00. Need to know if this is correct procedure or if i am getting scamed

You should be able to buy the new tabs from the dealer, but they will need to be glued onto your glass with a special adheasive, More than likely you will need a new motor/regulator assembly also if the tabs broke.
