Car loses all power when turned off, power locks lights everything

2004 Ford Taurus se. But is fine when car is on this just happened recently whats causing this? I think it was caused when I installed a stereo and accidentally touched the ground and power wires.

Check all fuses inside and under hood.

I checked the fuses for interior lights and they were fine

I had same thing happen to me recently and 2 fuses were blown. I ound by testing all fuses with test light.

But a fuse would make the part not work at all right? Mine work when the car is on but no longer work with it off? Like power locks and dome light

Maybe ignition switch problem.

Nevermind that for now you have a smart junction box under left side of dash which has relays for interior lights.

Power locks are with SJB too with relays for locks. You say locks work with key on? What about accessory position?

K i'm showin diff fuses for key on and key off. Check fuses
