Hi I have a 2004 v6 3.0 liter 24 vavle engine durtec how much oil does it take?

I look in the ford service manual and it tells 6.5 quarts capacity. The owner manual say 6 quarts when I put in 6 qt it was low about half so it takes 6.5 that want the ford service book say.
