how do i test cam position sensor on 2004 ford taurus

The proper way to test them would be with a portable lab scope but on these sensors it's sometimes obvious when the sensor is removed. There is commonly physical damage that results in noise also. Sometimes the synchronizer develops a chirping noise and has to be replaced also.
