So my mustang sometimes get stuck on park so when I press the brake down and try to put it in drive or reverse the shifter just doesn't move at all and sometimes the light doesn't turn on till I'm almost have way down on the brake and I have to press it over and over again

What light? If you're referring to the brake lights on the rear of the car, suspect a worn out brake light switch.

Yep, I agree with CARADIODOC to be sure have a helper look at the brake lights to see when they turn on, if it is late in the brake pedal travel the switch is bad, here is the location and how to change it out to help fix the problem. Check out the images (below). Let us know what you find.
