A weak battery can affect anything that is electrical.

If I go out to start the car the pats light flashes fast. If I sit there with the key in the ignition in the run position for about 1 minute the light stops flashing. Then if I turn the key off and back on again the car will start. I was told I have a weak battery, but even in the coldest weather so far there has been no hesitation when it actually fires over.

Based on what the system does when you turn the key on, it doesn't sound like a battery issue.

Yep, I kinda figured that so I had it towed in and they are gonna check it out and let me know what's going on. Something went wrong with the passive anti-theft system. Thanks for your help. I'll let you know what they say and what it costs, lol
