There is oil inside my car dripping off the clutch pedal, it appears to be leaking from a box located behind the clutch pedal. I believe this is the master clutch cylinder. I called my mechanic and he wants to charge me $1000 to repair claiming he will need to remove the transmission to repair it. And I should probably replace the clutch while I had the transmission removed. Is this true?

YOU ARE SORTA WANTING TO KNOW

WEIGHING OUT THE WORTH?

WELL

YOU OR YOUR BUDDY MIGHT COULD TACKLE THIS (IF YOU CAN DO THIS SORTA STUFF)

MYSELF, I HATE WORKING ON NEWER OVER ENGINEERED STUFF, BUT I COULD HANDLE THIS TO SAVE $1000!

'COURSE BELOW, THE VIDEO MAKER HAD DONE THE OTHER SUGGESTED STUFF AT AN EARLIER DATE, SO THE TASK AT HAND IN THIS VIDEO IS THE CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER ONLY (WITHOUT SNATCHING THE TRANNY)

THE PART ITSELF AT ADVANCE AUTO PARTS RANGES FROM $35 TO $65
