What are you ordering? If this is just the plug with a foot of wire, and it's coming from Ford, the wire colors should match what's hanging on the car. You're better off just snipping one off a car in a salvage yard.

If the replacement connector has a generic plug that fits a number of models, the wire colors could be different. Then you have to look at the old plug and hopefully there will be some wire left so you can see which color went where, then you can match the wires by location instead of color.
