My alternator is making this whining noise. I have changed the battery, serpentine belt and the alternator is new. All of the connections are tight. I don't know what else to check. It won't let me attach my image so here is a link to the video of the sound on my photobucket. http://s1074.beta.photobucket.com/user/freddyliciouz/media/IMG_2808.mp4.html

As far as the noise, are you sure the alternator is the correct one? Did the old alt do the same thing?
