I have a f250 2004 diesel truck and I didn't plug it in so I had to jump start it because my batteries went dead but none of my lights work and if they do its for one second and very low dim but when I hook up the battery charger all my lights are bright as usual. Right after I jumped it all the lights worked for about a minute then back to the dim and one second low dim then off again. Since the battery charger makes the lights bright it couldn't be a fuse and also the truck stays running so it should be the alternator anyideas what it could be??

Have the alternator load tested and check and test all fusible links/miniature fuses

It could still be the alternator even though the truck keeps running? And it could still be a fuse because when I hook up the battery charger all the lights are ok, I was thinkin maybe a bad connection?
