2004 Ford F 250 Lock Hubs Four Wheel Drive There S Squealing Noise Sounds Coming

When I lock hubs for four wheel drive there's a squealing noise sounds like its coming from drivers side,does not make noise when wheels are in free position.

SOUNDS LIKE THE HUB IS "ALMOST LOCKING IN"

MIGHT REMOVE IT AND INSPECT IT AND THE AXLE END TO SEE IF IT MOVES FAR ENOUGH TO LOCK ONTO THE AXLE---AND SEE IF THERE IS A BURR OR OTHER PROBLEM THAT KEEPS IT FROM SLIDING ON ALL OF THE WAY

THE NOISE IS PROBABLY THE THE AXLE GRINDING ON THE SLEEVE
