rear heat works fine front heat blows cold lines to heater core are both hot . I think it has a heat riser that works on vaccum no vac at all switch inside clicks when turned on

I have had this same problem. It is called the blend door actuator. It is a little door inside the unit that switches back and forth from hot to cold.

The clicking noise happens because the door is still trying to open up.

I have had to replace the front and the rear blend doors on my vehicle in the past 2 years.
