When I have my 4x4 activated I will go to get on the gas and it pops but only when I put the pedal at 3/4 throttle. It will also do this when I'm turning at low speeds. I also have noticed that the front two wheels I guess you could say have a shutter movement and they like stutter to turn. Any ideas what this could be?

Is it clunking noise that feels like the front is slipping?

It some cases it does. It will hesitate when you have the wheel turned and the 4x4 engages.

Based on your description, it sounds like the hubs are not full engaging when you select 4wd. Have they ever been serviced?
