check engine on. scan told me egr valve

1. how to clean egr valve on '04 ford explorer 2. try to find fuel rail pressure temp sensor(frpt). is this a dealers item? scan trouble codes came up egr,frpt. thx

remove the egr and use something like carb cleaner. You may have to scrape some of the carbon from both the egr and the intake. As far as the fuel rail, check pressure to confirm a problem.
