When replacing brake pads, there is no necessity to bleed the system. What you need to check for is stuck or stiff slider bolts. At times when new pads are installed, the pedal would be spongy due to the pads and rotrs not seating evenly and a little running in would solve the problem.
During this running-in period, DO NOT attempt hard brakings as the rotor is not 100 % level and excessive force on the pedal can damage the pads. Try some gentle brakings.
