Shuts off while driving in town or highway at any speed. It does this intermittently. If you try to restart it acts like the battery is dead, but will start after about five minutes. Sometimes when it stalls if you step on the gas more it goes again.

Hello,
This sounds like your vehicle's Crankshaft Position sensor (CKP) could be going out. When your vehicle's CKP sensor is just starting to fail, it will act just like this, working when could but failing when it gets warm. Your vehicle uses the CKP signal for rotational speed of the crankshaft and for misfire monitoring. If it fails your vehicle's Power-train Control Module (PCM) can' tell if the engine is running or not, causing it to shut down. When the CKP cools down, then it will work sending a signal to the PCM and your vehicle will start again. In the diagrams down below I have included a location diagram of the CKP for you. I have also included a few links below for you to go to as well:
Please go through these guides and get back to us with what you are able to find out, please.
Thanks,
Alex

Will this give a code? Also, I drove it less than five minutes and it happened, but today I drove 200 miles before it did it. No codes, no engine light.

Hello again,
Sometimes it will and sometimes it won't. It really should throw a Direct Trouble Code (DTC), but sometimes it won't until it completely fails.
