When charging I have 14.9 volts. When sitting still I have about 12.40 volts. A day or so goes by and the car will not start. This happens all the time. The battery and altenator are fine. There are no excess electrical componenets on the car. What is happening?

Has the battery actually been load tested with a tester capable of putting a load on it? Are you just putting a meter on it and getting a reading of 12 volts after its been charged? What is the age of the battery, most batterys have a life expectancy of 5-7 years/is it original? If the battery is new or has been load tested then you may have a draw issue meaning something is staying on while car is off draining battery, let me know on the previous questions

The battery is brand new. Im assuming its some kind of draw issue. I didnt know if maybe they had a problem with something drawing down the battery in 2004 on the Escape?

You are going to have a full charging system test and get a draw test performed on this vehicle to determine if it has a draw/ and what is draining the battery.
