Bought my 04 crown vick, used. When I test drove it, i fell in love. No issues what so ever. Two days after I got it home, it started having a little problem with wanting to accelerate. Went by AutoZone & had it 'tested'. Got the code for a cylinder 8 misfire, o2 sensor, & lean misfire? Since then check engine light was on. Would flash some. Cleaned the MAF, unhooked battery for a while & hooked it back up, check engine light is not on now, but still a little chug when accelerating but quits instead of getting worse?? Im confused. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Have you checked the plugs for their condition? Also, a lean mixture usually indicates a vacuum leak. Can you provide the codes that were found?

Im not too sure the exact codes bc the guy at autozone didn't seem like he want to help much..he said p0308, lean?, o2 sensor bad. I did some searching online and found some forums and thats where I learned about the MAF, and it might not be a bad idea to clean it. The car is perfect in every other aspect other than chugging while accelerating and NOW it's doing it while idling. Im lost.
