2004 envoy xuv the rear tail gate

I have a 2004 GMC envoy XUV . When I mash the pressure switch handle for the tail gate to go down it will not do nothing ? The other pressure switch handle that opens the fine . But I can not get the tail gate to release and open ? What do I need to get for it or do ? Everything back their works fine but that . Thanks Lee please let me known?

have a pro scan for codes see if it's a module problem

the scanner plugs in t o the aldl and if you don't have a pro scanner that garages use you won't read a thing. autoparts scanners can't read module problems other than engine/transmission
