Where do I bolt down the negative battery ground on a 2004 dodge stratus. The cable comes from the battery to a junction where another cable runs towards the tranny. Where do I ground it?

The negative cable runs up to the front top of the left strut tower. It bolts on right between the two front strut mounting bolts. This guide will help walk you through the steps with diagrams below for your car.

Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Step#1 Disconnect negative battery cable next to engine using 15mm wrenches then lightly loosen up lug nuts on drivers side front tire. Step#2 Jack up front drivers side of the car then place jack stands underneath. Make sure car is secure before proceeding. Step#3 Remove front drivers side tire. Step#4 Remove front drivers side plastic fender well with various screwdrivers and plastic rivet popper tool. Step#5 Remove battery hold down with I think 13mm or 14mm socket or wrench Step#6 Remove battery cables with 5/16 socket or wrench. Step#7 Picture doesn't show it but there's another battery hold down with a bolt that goes through the hold down horizontally directly into the car frame. I think it's 14mm or 15mm

This is a new car and new configuration. I've got to trade this monkey in. But I found both lead ends. The Negative sits in plain view on the right side engine compartment at top labeled Negative Jumpstart and the Positive is just south of it covered by a red cap on the Fuse Box. Geezzzzzz

The battery is in the driver's front fender in front of the wheel. It is directly below where the (+) and (-) terminals are in your engine bay. You will need to remove the wheel and the wheel cover to access it.

If it is not under the hood on the right hand side, it will be in the trunk in its own protective compartment.

Turn the wheels to the right. The battery sits in front of the left front tire. Remove the plastic shield to get to it.

The battery is located by the driver's front wheel. You have to turn the wheel all the way in to access the panel to remove the battery.
