2004 Dodge Ram tempature running hot

truck runs hot at idle, but temp stays normal when driving or idling up. was told to replace fan clutch instead of thermastat, but not sure how to do it

you need a special tool to remove it then remove fan from it and put on new one. check with autoparts for tool they may rent it.
