Need help with throttle lag on 04 Ram 3500 5.9 cummins

I have an 04 dodge 3500 with cummins 5.9 started with throttle hesitation, found that throttle position sensor was bad, replaced with new dodge part now I have a good tps reading on my mac scan tool but throttle responce still has about a 1 sec lag in responce, have signal to ecm and all power and reference signals seem to be fine any ideas, thanks Bill Pittman
