I was driving up a hill in the snow when my ABS light came on. Now the hand brake light and ABS light stay on even with the hand brake down. What could cause this?

The red warning light also turns on for low brake fluid level and unequal pressures in the two brake fluid hydraulic circuits due to a leak. Either of those conditions will prevent the anti-lock brake system from working properly so the yellow light turns on too.
