2004 Dodge Neon Brake pads

How do you tell what type of material your brake pads are (i.E. Semi-metallic or ceramic)?

That's a tough question to answer. Lol Ceramic is a much smoother, harder substance. With a semi metallic pad, you can actually see the metallic particles.

The ceramic will last longer, but they wear the rotors much faster too. I always use a semi-metallic composition. That is what I recommend unless you plan to be driving at really high speeds and will be starting and stopping all the time.
